About the Role

Position Overview

The Supervisor provides day-to-day leadership, supports front-line staff, and collaborates with partners and stakeholders to deliver coordinated and effective services. This role is ideal for someone who brings strong clinical insight, mentorship skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement in community support settings.

Key Responsibilities

Provide supervision, coaching, and guidance to staff
Conduct regular one-on-one and group performance discussions
Support skill development and identify training opportunities
Oversee scheduling, documentation, and adherence to policies
Lead team meetings, case reviews, and provide clinical direction
Promote person-centered care, harm reduction, and trauma-informed practices
Assist staff in navigating elevated-risk situations safely and effectively
Support program planning, service targets, and quality improvement initiatives
Collaborate internally and externally using a “One Team” approach
Maintain accurate records and meet reporting requirements
Ensure a psychologically healthy and safe environment for staff and clients
Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Post-secondary education in Social Work, Social Services, Health Services, or related field
Minimum 3 years’ experience in mental health, addictions, homelessness, or community-based services
Minimum 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of low-barrier, harm-reduction, and trauma-informed care approaches
Experience working with diverse populations
Strong analytical and organizational capabilities
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Valid First Aid & CPR
ASIST and CPI training (or willingness to obtain)

Working Conditions

Saturday - Sunday 9 - 5.
Prolonged sitting/standing and computer use
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
Access to a reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance for community travel
