About the Role

What You’ll Do

Assess, support, and monitor functional areas of daily living (budgeting, home safety, household management, leisure activities).
Identify barriers to independence and develop strategies to overcome them.
Provide individual assessments, goal planning, and supportive counselling.
Deliver interventions that build community participation, daily routines, and coping skills.
Develop recovery plans and crisis plans to reduce risk and promote stability.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, hospitals, and community partners.
Assist clients in establishing and maintaining community supports and social skills.
Maintain accurate documentation, case notes, and statistical records per agency standards.
Adhere to Health & Safety and client-safety frameworks.
Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

Registered Occupational Therapist in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO).
3+ years of experience in mental health and/or addictions.
Strong skills in functional, behavioral, and risk assessments.
Experience providing individual and group counselling.
Knowledge of psychiatric symptoms, medications, and crisis intervention.
Experience supporting youth and applying EPI standards.
Commitment to psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery-oriented practice.
Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and appropriate insurance.
First Aid & CPR certification; ASIST and CPI training (or willingness to obtain).
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Working Conditions

Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm (some flexibility based on client needs).
Majority of work completed independently in clients’ homes/ apartments.
Physical requirements: sitting/standing for long periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, frequent travel within the community.
